Hot Water Extraction Cleaning
Often known as the most effective method of cleaning carpets, Hot Water
Extraction, (or steam cleaning) is a very popular choice, and usually the best
way to go for a deep cleaning. This method uses high pressure and high
temperature water to clean the fibers themselves, more thoroughly then most
other processes. Not only does it clean deep soil out, but it also lifts all the
surface dirt, making this the most popular method, by and large. Along with high
pressure and hot water, there are detergents and cleaners mixed in with the
water to help break up the dirt and the deep, deep soil, leaving a very clean,
almost sterile surface behind.
This method of cleaning is somewhat complicated and requires many steps, and
should almost always be done by professionals with experience and knowledge in
this area, as it requires a large amount of skill, along with the knowledge of
how to do it. There are two preferred ways of doing it, however. One involves
heavy equipment on the back of a truck, which offers high pressure and
temperature, the other hand held which is usually slightly more affordable and
convenient.
The basis of this process involves the machinery being run over the upholstery,
loosening and killing the soil (should it be alive). Then everything is sucked
out with a high-powered vacuum, and left to dry. When finished, it is the most
comprehensive cleaning you will ever receive. |
